First, thank you for the support. God knows I needed it. I have calmed down quite a bit. I am hopeful but reserved.
I am happy to report that our donor had a successful egg retrieval. She wasn't in too much pain and she seemed happy with the results, according to the doctor.
They retrieved 22 eggs!! I was quite shocked and happy about that.
Twenty were mature!! Again, a total shock.
As of this morning 17 fertilized normally (no ICSI). REALLY amazing!!
They will call us on Saturday morning if the ET is a day 3, if not, we go in on Monday morning.
WW and I are still reeling from what happened a few days ago and are now walking around in utter shock. I am hoping so hard that just one of these eggs is the right one for us, and that the embryologist picks the one. When I dare to think about it I just fall apart. When I think of those little embies warm, dark, growing I just want to pick all of them up and hold them. Hold the person they might become. If I could put them all back I would. I know that's not rational, but I've been waiting for this for so long. If wishing and hoping could make it so...
I do have a concern about my estrogen levels. I went in for my E2 draw today. When I got my numbers I was surprised that I hadn't progressed very much.
Last draw was 705 on Monday. This draw was 717 this morning. I have been jumping up by at least 200. I'm a little afraid. Do any of you know the target range for E2 prior to transfer? I couldn't find anything out from Dr. Google. What were your numbers? Should I be worried? Well, I'm already worried...what I mean is, should I stop worrying?

Daisy, what a rollercoaster! But it's looking good!
Re E2, they never test that here.. just go by the lining thickness

here is a link with info on hormone levels - I haven't done IVF so I i can't answer this question from experience, but DG sounds right - measure not number.
Congratulations on so many wonderful follies - that is really great!!!!
Daisy! What news! What wonderful news! You have been on my mind for days. I commented a few days ago but obviously never pushed "send." I am sending good vibes to you and WW as fast as I can (insert scrunched up, concentrating hard face here).
I can't believe all that you've been through with this cycle. This is incredible. And 17 fertilized? Amazing. I had 4 that made it through by the time I was ready for my transfer. 2 transferred, 2 frozen, and I have my beautiful boy. So you've got a lot of possibilities there. And I totally understand how you feel abou wanting to hold them all.
My E2 was never checked when I was doing my DE cycle. Just lining thickness. Wish I could help there, but do you have any idea how your lining is progressing?
Wow, that's great! I am happy too to have someone on the same schedule. My clinic only checked my uterine lining once and it was good so I guess that's it. They did not check my blood estrogen level and I don't know what the normal range is but my guess is that your levels would stabilize at some point if you have been taking the same dosage. I started with one estrogen patch then increased to two now four every three days for the past week. I imagine that my blood levels would have been increasing at first but now are at a steady state. If your clinic is happy with your level then I wouldn't worry too much.
Good luck with the transfer! I will be checking in with you.
Holy cow! That is really actually, truly amazing. I am excited and hopeful for you, but ever keeping my fingers crossed. Here's my wish for you: Transfer of 2 good day 5 blasts, with freezing of at least 14. One implanting, growing developing... and then you get to welcome your healthy child in about 9 months.
So that's my wish. I really hope it works, I know you guys would make great parents. Keeping everything crossed, and I'll keep a lookout for updates. Good luck! :)
I don't know about E2 either, as my clinic just measures lining.
Those numbers are outrageous - I'm so excited for you!
Wow, 17 is great! what a rollercoaster. My clinic doesn't check E2 levels prior to transfer just the lining check.
Keep us posted!
