Checking In and Waiting for AF

Last night Halloween was pretty fun. Just the right amount of trick-or-treating, just the right amount of trick-or-treaters...and NO tricks. Tricks were very big last year...TP, cars got egged, smashed pumpkins, etc. Ugh!

I started Lupron on the 23rd. Here is how my FET calendar shakes out:

10/15 US post ovulation check (lining at 10mm, BTW)
10/23 Lupron (10 units) continues until close to FET
10/30 to 11/2 expected CD1 (has not happened yet...I'm thinking Friday the 2nd)
11/2 projected baseline US
11/3 projected start of estrogen shots

blur of days...check lining, shots, check lining, shots, check lining, shots...

Estimated FET on CD18...would be...Thanksgiving day. Of couse, because here in Daisy-Land ALL IF attempts and disappointments must center around major holidays and events. 1st failed IVF = Christmas, 1st failed DE IVF = my birthday, 1st FET = Thanksgiving. Well, at least we are consistent.

But since I have a bit of control over this we could go early or later (yeah!). I am having 6 people at our house for a week and I cannot pull off the FET and the holiday.

In other news, I have been spending my time reading your blogs using Google Reader. Bloglines was not working for new users for a long time so I used Google. It's a good service. I cannot comment though (and you know I love to comment). But I want you to know that yes, I am up to date on all your entries. Yes, you!

I've been searching all over the virtual world for against-all-odds success stories of women who have gotten pregnant with their first FET, with ONE marginal quality embryo. Yea, I'll let ya know if I find any.

We just stared researching two embryo donation clinics. Each have a 1 year minimum waiting list. One wants $450 up-front for registration and a consultation. The other wants just registration fees. I'm having a hard time jumping into this boat for so many reasons which I will blog about later.

BTW, I found a way to encourage AF to show up but I can't tell you about it because it will make WW blush. ;) And to think some people use sex to make babies...so silly.

Good luck! As you know from your recent find that it can happen.

I am glad you are still exploring options even if they aren't your first choice (or 80th, to be more exact).

I am way ahead of you on the other uses for sex. :-)
