I was so happy when my CD1 came around after our failed DE IVF cycle, becuase, as you veterans know, it means you can plan your next cycle. But today, something strange happened, I started bleeding. This has never happened to me before. It's my CD12. It's light pink like the beginning of a cycle. Has anyone had this happen after an FET or DE IVF? I have no cramping or ovulation pain. I really hope this has nothing to do with the endo...but I know so little about it. I have been told that I have endo on the left ovary and it has not grown or changed over the last year. Does anyone know if you can see endo on a hysteroscopy exam? I had one last year and it was clear.
In sadder news, my employer has blocked my access to typepad and wordpress accounts. It's only a matter of time before they block blogger as well. This is very depressing for me. I live for my lunchtime cruise of the blogs. What will I do. The withdrawals will be horrible. I think you can subscribe to some blog feeds using rss?? Does anyone know about that?
I'm full of questions today.
Here is one more bit of confusion for you. I have insurance via WW's employer. It is excellent insurance so I didn't sign up for my new employer's health care coverage. Yesterday, I was just messing around and I put in the name of our RE in the "insured provider" query at work. GUESS WHAT? He is covered!! What the Hell does this mean? I quickly e-mailed HR to find out if I could get the EOB (explanation of benefits) for our health plan to see if some or any IVF is covered...but they wont offer it until November, which is open enrollment. Could I have coverage? What would this mean for us? Maybe they just cover labs or diagnostic...but what if it is more? I can hardly stand to imagine it. I'm searching all over for an old EOB from my employer. I NEED info. BTW, I haven't told WW yet. Not until I know what, if anything, is offered.
Life is strange, no?

I'm afraid can't offer any words of wisdom about your mysterious CD12 bleeding. But I can offer help to get past your company's firewall. If you don't already, see if bloglines is blocked. Usually it's not. So if you subscribe to the blogs you read with bloglines, you will be able to read those who's full post appears (not just the first few lines). And you'll be able to "keep new" those which you can't access so you can go back when you get home.
Good news about the benefits! Good luck.
I was just going to suggest the same thing that Pam did above. Bloglines rocks. It makes keeping up with your favorite blogs SO MUCH EASIER!!! I had (and still have) spotting during this cycle (since CD 10) and it's still here. It's not much, so my doc wasn't worried (I'm in an IUI cycle). Good luck!
dear daisy, that would be so amazing if you were covered! Good call on not getting too hopeful until you see the actual EOB but what a nice little piece of news to take home if it turns out to be true!
How is the new job going? Besides the blocked blogs?
Hi Daisy - I wish I could help with the bleeding - can you call your RE's office (or your OB) to ask?
Re: the insurance, don't get your hopes up just yet. It might only mean that he is an in-network Dr so any covered benefits would be covered at the in-network rate of payment (which would leave you usually with a copay only). But the catch is "covered benefits". What you need to see is not an EOB, but a benefit handbook, which should have info on infertility coverage. If it doesn't, you can ask your HR directly.
Can you tell I'm in the industry? :)
I know I'm late to the game, but 1. E had the light pink bleeding you describe after our failed DE IVF. The drugs she was taking made her cycle very screwy and she had a strange half-period a couple weeks after the negative beta.
2. I am beyond thrilled that some of your IVF fees may be covered. I feel like this would open a whole world of possibility for you. Our insurance covered EVERYTHING for our DE IVF cycles. But we had to ride them for the benefits (of course), but it was well worth the hassle, obviously.
If you don't mind posting, who is WW's insurer? Ours is BCBS of MA.
