EEK...

They called...we have a MATCH!

The donor is going through retrieval with a couple right now, today! This will be her 6th retrieval and ours will be her 7th. Jesus Mary and Joesph I don't know what to think. I hope her retrieval goes well and the recipient gets pregnant. Out of her 5 retrievals, all but one has gotten a BFP. OMG I don't feel ready. I feel afraid. And I feel 25 pounds heavier than the last time I did this, which was a year ago. I know, I know, emotional eating. It's true. I hope that does not become an issue for my RE. I'm kind of embarraced to go in at this size. One issue at a time.

I have been mentally prepared for this every time, but now I am totally freaked out. I just started to let it go. I will confess that I have not been living on the IVF DE roller coaster daily. I really did put it aside. I have not told WW that we have a match. She always assumed they would find one.

Okay I am really freaking out. I need some time to process.

Thanks for checking in on me Midlife Mommy and M, you guys are great!

Congratulations -- how exciting! About the weight -- eh. I'm going to be 25 pounds heavier this time around if I get a BFP. It is what it is.

Congratulations! IVF is a wonderful option for many families. Thought your readers might be interested to learn more about another option for infertility - gestational surrogacy. We are offering a free teleseminar on Thursday, July 31 to help prospective surrogates or intended parents understand the requirements, rights and rewards of gestational surrogacy. The panel of experts will discuss issues ranging from compensation to legal rights to emotional readiness. To learn more, visit the seminar Web site: http://www.arr1.com/teleseminar_0708.html.

ha ha ha! Isn't it funny how you can hope and plan and still get a little bit freaked out when it seems like it is going to work?

I hope, hope, hope this is it for you.

Hey Daisy - this is wonderful news! And of course you're freaking out - totally normal.I'm just so thrilled for you that this sounds like it will work out.

And what's with the alternative reproductive resources? While I think it's great to tout all ART, and to encourage knowledge, is this really the right place to put an ad, instead of commenting on your wonderful news?
