In the spirit of long posts...a "short" meme.
1. Egg nog or Hot Chocolate?Egg nog with spiced rum...to cut the thickness of course. ;)
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wrap! Wrapping is half the fun. I take pictures of all our gifts before and after opening!
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
On the tree both. On the house white.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Nope. It makes my house smell funny.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
The day after Thanksgiving is phase one. About a week later is phase two, the last phase.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Main dish, roast. Side dish, yams.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child.
Popcorn string for around the tree! Lots and lots of popcorn to eat. Sometimes it took many nights to make the string.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
A mean kid told me when I was six.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve?
Just one, each.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Lights, many sentimental ornaments, and a new one each year. We also hang little baskets and leave goodies in them for Christmas day.
11. Snow! Love it or dread it?
I love snow...on TV...or through the window of a ski lodge.
12. Can you ice skate?
I couldn't call what I do ice skating. It's more like watching an injured penguin try to escape the other penguins.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Yes, it was a big diamond solitaire, delivered by WW on Christmas Eve 16 years ago.
14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Family and cooking...in that order.
15. What is your favorite Holiday dessert?
Pumpkin pie.
16. What is your favorite Holiday tradition?
Two really. Walking around in our neighborhood on Christmas Eve looking at lights/decorations in the freezing cold. Second, sending out Holiday cards. I know...I'm a freak.
17. What tops your tree?
A large glittery snowflake.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Definitely giving.
19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Sleigh ride.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
Yum for the first 2 or 3, after that I will wait until next year.
